you have the most guarded thoughts. sometimes you’ll just make an affirmation sounds like “mhm” and it sounds like that’s all. but really you have layers of thoughts stringing together into a complex series of thoughts. and it’s only until you figure out how to explain it in such few words are you able to talk about it or say it out loud. it’s okay take your time.
Bold of you to come through with this message in Scorpio season and I certainly most emphatically disagree with your message but I guess everyone can have and keep their own opinion (?) I’m a Pisces and I can be biased but when it comes to Scorpio I feel like being all the amount of biased I want because they are my favourite sign and I believe they are my favourite sign for a reason. No other sign does it for me the way Scorpio does. Again, this is entirely personal and subjective but they’ve fascinated me since day one, and it’s stayed like that since day one. I love Scorpios not only because they are kings and queens of emotional intensity and I, personally, love to romanticize emotional intensity, I love them because to me they simply stand out.
Nothing about them is average. They are all about the extremes. The Scorpios I know are driven, audaciously present in themselves, incredibly loving and kind hearted human beings and most of all authentic and inspiring and all around wonderful. They’re real, flaws and all. They don’t copy anyone, they keep things effortless and passionate, they embody themselves to the core and when they struggle within themselves, they struggle hard but they remain quite fearless and upfront about their struggles.
Emotional intensity goes hand in hand with emotional honesty and from my own personal experience with the signs, Scorpio is definitely, as if by birth, one of the most emotionally raw and honest signs if not the most emotionally honest. It doesn’t really have to do with romanticizing strong emotions, it has to do with living them?? And experiencing them?? It’s not even about intensity itself, it’s all about the quality and authenticity of the intensity. Love them or hate them, I believe the rest of the signs must to say the least innerly acknowledge Scorpio’s superiority once in a while and let them be without being downright envious of them or trying to pin them down so as to “understand” them. They’re badass and hot and they can be tender and protective and unimaginably wholesome and sweet, they really are that great in my opinion, they’re not overrated at all.
i don’t give a FUCK if astrology is fake or mbti isn’t accurate. i’m still gonna have a great time reading about my fake personality on the internet and there’s nothing anyone in the entire world can do to stop me
Whenever a Scorpio feels something, anything, it hurts.
Think of the strange, compelling, almost-frightening pleasure-pain of sex. It hurts, but it’s good, but it’s too much. You want it to stop. You never want it to end. You feel like it could kill you; you think you might die without it.
Dramatic? Yes.
But it’s not an exaggeration.
That’s what emotion is to a Scorpio. It’s choking, burning, drowning everything. Happiness, sorrow, love, anger, fear- it’s always Too Fucking Much. Life, for a Scorpio who as not yet learned to control emotions, is an intense, interesting sort of hell.
Cancer is so weak that a gentle breeze might as well be a hurricane. Pisces actively seeks out or creates excessive emotions to deal with boredom.
Scorpio is a different story. This is a sign that can know, accept, and even embrace powerful emotions, despite being strong and without actively seeking such experiences.
This is the root of Scorpio’s secrecy: they don’t want anyone else to know how much every little thing, good or bad, hurts. They’re frightened by how intensely they can focus, how long they can obsess, how deeply they feel. If you knew, you’d be frightened too.
They feel too much, and they also see everything.
Say a wife is cheating on her husband, has been for some time, but no one, including the husband, notices. An evolved Scorpio can see, with a single glance, exactly what is happening and why. A mature Scorpio knows that it’s best to let them figure it out themselves.
It can take people years to see what is painfully obvious to a Scorpio in an instant, which is another reason Scorpios prefer to keep quiet: they’re afraid they’re wrong. They feel like they’re crazy for seeing what no one else can. Even if they speak out and are right, people may deny the truth and stick to more comfortable lies.
So… There you have it.
For Scorpios, Everything Always Happens So Much and it is Literally The Fucking Worst. Please try to understand.
[also applies to pluto dominants; can apply to anyone with significant scorpio energy in the natal chart; does not necessarily apply to all scorpios, because a good number shut that part of themselves away and refuse to/can’t access it.]
there was this post going around that had the signs as the six greek types of love and i didnt completely agree with it so here’s my take
AGAPE (unconditional, altruistic love): virgo, pisces
STORGE (love that grows from friendship): cancer, leo
MANIA (passionate, obsessive love) : libra, scorpio
LUDUS (playful love, love as a conquest): gemini, sagittarius
EROS (primal sexual love): aries, taurus
PRAGMA (loves with the head before the heart): capricorn, aquarius
One of the most uncomfortable things about incorporating astrology into your daily life is that you process things differently (often much healthier) than the people who surround you. My awareness of myself and the energetic shifts with transits allows me to handle situations so much more effectively, but I have to watch others flounder because of their lack of understanding and control. I don’t mean this in an arrogant way… I just mean that astrology is immensely helpful, and it’s stressful to be the only one in your life to possess all its comforts. It’s a privilege that I can’t share because they don’t want it, they don’t see its value. I know that not everyone connects well to astrology, and astrology is not the only way to grow or find peace, but it feels like a secret goldmine that is going wrongly unnoticed – it could deeply benefit so many people if they allowed it.
